Hornton Masonry has been selling and crafting natural stone since 1883, quarried from the historic hills of Edgehill on the border of Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire, nestled in the ancient village of Edgehill. Many of the buildings in the surrounding area are a testimony to the beauty and robustness of this gorgeous coloured rustic heritage red iron Hornton Stone.
The company has had mixed fortunes over the years. The First World War almost saw its demise with the ever-growing dearth of labour. Fortunately, the return of Cpt. Booth saw great modernisation and the formation of the company in its present form, from which it has gone from success to success. Many of today's craftsmen had family members working for Hornton at this time.
